Gloverall X Brady Bags

Continuing from our collaboration with UK footwear manufacturers Sanders, we now introduce a capsule collection of bags, produced by Walsall based manufacturer Brady.

Brady brothers John and Albert started their company in Birmingham in 1887 making leather gun cases. Over the years their range expanded to include fishing and game bags and Brady became world renowned as makers of the finest quality sporting leather goods.

Brady bags continue to be hand-made in Walsall, from the best quality canvas, brass components and English bridle leather. Many styles first introduced in the 30s and 40s are still made to original patterns and remain some of the most popular Brady styles.

We have worked with Brady to reinvent some of their core pieces, adding classic Gloverall wooden toggles, and natural cotton drawcords. Utilising their premium drill canvas, sourced from Italy, we co-created three styles, the Ariel trout Shoulder bag, the classic tote and the Rucksack.

Drawing inspiration from their fishing and game background, the Ariel Trout bag is the 'original' Brady bag, and was first introduced in 1928. It has become known as the most popular Brady bag in Brady's ever expanding product range. We added natural wood toggles, and cotton fastenings to create a hybrid with our traditional duffle coat. Shoulder straps and handles are made from military grade cotton webbing, with real leather finishes. Following suite the Classic Tote and Rucksack serve as ideal unisex pieces, both featuring pop colour cobalt drill internals.

Even with the best materials there are no short cuts to making a Brady Bag. It takes seven separate processes - and years to learn how to do them. The men and women that make Brady bags have learnt their skills over time - and have 627 years of experience between them. The result is rugged and individual, and with a little care it will last you a lifetime.
